The Mandaluyong City local government announced on Wednesday the schedule of its pediatric vaccinations as it continues to boost the protection of its citizens against COVID-19 and its more transmissible Delta variant.
In a Facebook post, the Mandaluyong Public Information Office (PIO) posted the dates of both the vaccination of individuals aged 12 to 17 with comorbidities and the rest of its pediatric population. The schedule also includes the venues of their vaccinations.
The local government unit (LGU) reminded the vaccinees to bring the following documents:
1. ID of the vaccinee (passport, school ID, or any document the proves the identity and age of the child such as a birth certificate or baptismal certficate);
2. ID of the parent;
3. If there's no parent:
- ID of the guardian
- Authorization Letter and copy of the ID of the parent;
4. If the vaccinee has comorbidity:
- Medical Certificate from the child's physician.
The LGU said that walk-ins are still prohibited and urged the public to follow the minimum health and safety protocols against the virus.
As of October 30, Mandaluyong City has already vaccinated 1,304 minors with comorbidities with their first dose of the vaccine.
Vaccine recipients who have comorbidities and those who are fit and healthy to receive the jab will receive Moderna and Pfizer vaccines, the only vaccines that were able to get an Emergency Use Authorizarion (EUA) from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
