Pasay police ready for transfer of Pharmally execs

The Pasay City police is now preparing for the transfer of two Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corp. executives to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) facility in the city.

Col. Cesar Paday-os said coordination was already made with Pasay City Jail warden Supt. Ramil Vestra for the detention of Linconn Ong and Mohit Dargani.

Paday-os said the police will clear the traffic around the City Hall area to ensure the safety of Ong and Dargani.

He said the two Pharmally executives will be immediately be placed under the custody of the BJMP.

Xavier Solda said the Pasay City jail is prepared for the transfer of Ong and Dargani.

He assured that there will be no “special treatment’ to be given to them.

Solda said the two Pharmally executives will be moved to a 1,000% congested facility that houses 1,104 Persons Deprived of Liberty that only has a separate isolation area for newly committed PDLs which is part of the health and security procedures being observed in jails.

The two Pharmally directors have been detained at the Senate after senators cited them in contempt for their answers in the ongoing Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing into the pandemic spending and alleged anomalous government contracts for medical supplies.

At the resumption of inquiry on November 26, senators asked Dargani and Ong to provide missing source documents of Pharmally’s financial statements that were submitted to the Bureau of Internal Revenue and Securities and Exchange Commission.

But after five hours of questioning, the two executives were still unsure of the location of the documents, prompting the committee to move that they be transferred to the Pasay City Jail.

Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III signed the commitment order to Pasay City on Saturday for the detention of Ong and Dargani.
