“It’s going smoothly. Hopefully kayanin natin ‘yong three million a day (Hopefully we can achieve three million a day),” Galvez said in a television interview over state-owned PTV 4.

As of 1 p.m., data from the NVOC showed at least 113,399 individuals have been inoculated during the first day of the vaccination program.

This represented 1.26 percent of the total nine million people who are targeted to be inoculated in the three-day program which will last until Dec. 1.

“Hopefully the number will accelerate and makuha natin ang target (we can achieve our target). Kung makuha natin ang target na nine million or even higher, makukuha na natin ang target natin na at least magkaroon ng first dose ang 54 million ngayong buwan (If we achieve our target nine million or higher, we will be able to hit the target of having 54 million vaccinated with first dose this month),” Galvez noted.

Galvez stayed at the command center of the NVOC in Pasay City during the launch of the program in the morning. He was scheduled to visit the vaccination in SM Masinag in Antipolo later in the day.
