Antipolo LGU waives taxes for SMEs earning P200,000 and below

The Antipolo City local government announced on Monday that all business taxes and other regulatory fees of some small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are still waived amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

"Bilang patuloy na pagtulong sa mga small & medium enterprises (SMEs) tulad ng mga sari-sari stores, barberya, salon & parlor, computer shops, talyer, vulcanizing shops, karinderya, bakeries, atbp., waived pa rin tulad last year ang mga bayarin tulad ng business taxes at iba pang regulatory fees sa business permit renewal para sa 2022 kung ang iyong gross sales or receipts o kabuuang benta sa taong 2021 ay P200,000 pababa (To help small and medium enterprises such as sari-sari stores, barber shops, salons and parlors, computer shops, car shops, vulcanizing shops, eateries, bakeries, and other establishments, their business taxes and other regulatory fees for 2022 permit renewal are still waived if their gross sales or receipts for 2021 are P200,000 or below)," the local government said in a Facebook post.

The local government unit (LGU) added that those who will apply for new business permits won't have to pay taxes and fees as well.

However, payment for barangay clearance and regulatory fees for the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) must still be settled.

Individuals who have questions regarding the tax payment scheme and other concerns may contact the city's Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) by calling 86894535, or via e-mail to [email protected]. They may also get in touch with the Treasurer’s Office at 86894523, or send an email to [email protected] / [email protected].

As of Nov. 28, Antipolo City has recorded 72 active COVID-19 cases, 19,241 recoveries, and 473 deaths.
