The Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP) held a Capability Building Program (CBP) for legal literacy on land ownership in San Pedro, Laguna on Friday, Nov. 26.
The offering of similar trainings is conducted to deliver new knowledge that will help develop the capacity and standard living of the poor)," said PCUP Chairperson and CEO, Undersecretary Alvin S. Feliciano.
A total of 35 representatives from eight accredited organizations of the PCUP have attended the CBP on Fundamental Land Ownership, said the organization.
PCUP disclosed that the program’s main purpose is to educate the attendees on land classifications, government land ownership, private land, and limitations as landowners.
In connection with the training, the PCUP will also conduct a consultation with each organization to discuss their respective conditions on the land which they are living in)," it added.
