Men's war fires off Monday in Champions League

Go for Gold-Air Force and VNS raise the curtain when men’s club teams take center stage this time in the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) Champions League Monday at the Aquamarine Recreational Center in Lipa City, Batangas.

Match is at 10 a.m. followed by the MRT-Negros and Sabong International Spikers tussle at 1:30 p.m.

Capping off the opening day tripleheader will be the 4 p.m. duel between Global Remit and Team Dasma.

Seven teams battle for the crown with hopes of joining women’s champion F2 Logistics Cargo Movers at the podium.

The winner of this tournament will represent the country in the Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championships in May next year.

Also competing are the Basilan Steel Spikers, who drew an opening day bye.

The seven teams were grouped into two pools with the top two teams after the preliminaries advancing to the semifinals.

Basilan, Go for Gold-Air Force and Manileño Spikers comprise Pool A, while Global Remit, Sabong International, MRT-Negros and Team Dasma comprise Pool B.
