With Christmas season fast approaching, The Manila Hotel is delighted to welcome back its patrons with the reintroduction of its popular menu item, the Filipino High Tea. Spruced up to delight holiday foodies and enjoy the celebratory yuletide mood, the Festive Merienda Especial, a local take on the British tradition, is best paired with a variety of teas available at the lounge. If you’re in for the sweets, try the hotel’s new hot chocolate made from tablea supplied by Cebu’s chocolate queen Raquel Choa.

Best enjoyed with a loved one, the Festive Merienda Especial comes with a selection of Paskong Pinoy favorites together with French pastries and sandwiches. Feast on three layers of sumptuous dishes including a bottom layer filled with sandwiches like Chicken-Pecan Cranberry Sandwich, Smoked Salmon with Cream Cheese on Scandinavian Rye, and Mini Bagel with Crabstick and Cucumber. For the mid-layer, guests can snack on tasty Empanada with Smoked Bangus, Fiesta Ham and Edam Cheese Roll, and the hotel’s winning Mixed Her and Asparagus-Guyere Quiche. If those aren't enough, the top layer rounds up the whole gastronomic experience with a handful of sweets featuring its colorful Fruit Cake, French Macarons, Christmas Biscotti, and, house favorite, The Manila Hotel Bibingka.

For only P1,180 nett per set, the Festive Merienda Especial is an afternoon delight like no other. If you enjoy sparkling wine with your high tea, just add P800 nett for a pair of house-pour glasses to make your meal extra special.
