Drilon: Dargani testimony on relationship with Singaporean an 'incredible story'

Pharmally exec Mohit Dargani's relation with the certain Gary Wong which he revealed to have paid for the chartered flight of him and his sister Twinkle when they attempted to fly out of the country at the Davao International Airport is "incredible", according to Senate Minority Leader Franklin M. Drilon.

According to the account of Mohit, he said that he asked Wong, who was based in Singapore to shoulder the expenses of the said flight worth US $37,000 or P1.850-million. Drilon went on to ask if he had any business relations or personal relations with Wong prior to the request that he made.

Mohit replied that there were none and that they only met once in a bar and that he didn't know him that well.

It was at this moment that Drilon asked Mohit: "Do you think that the senators you face are stupid?"

"You're saying that you met him once. You had no business dealings with him? He lent you $37,000. That's incredible as a story. Obviously, you're lying through your teeth. And that is what brings you to trouble with this committee," he added.

Drilon mentioned that even a first year student will know that he is not telling the truth. He then recalled the statement made by Mohit where he said that he met Wong once, they had no business dealings, and that Mohit himself was not sure why Wong agreed to pay for it.

"Maniniwala ba kami sa ganyang klaseng kwento? (You expect us to believe that kind of story?)" Drilon asked.

"If you were sitting on the other side of the table, then I'll tell you that kind of a story. Do you believe that?" he added.
