Police confiscated P54.57 million worth of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) and arrested two persons in a buy-bust operation in Taguig on Nov. 25.
Operatives from the Southern Police District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) conducted the sting operation at about 11:15 p.m. at Block 128 Lot 4 in Bgy. Maharlika, Taguig City.

SPD Director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg identified the arrested suspects as Marisa Asi, 34, and Muslimin Kamid, 32, both residents of Bgy. Maharlika.
The police recovered five plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing about 25 grams with a value of P170,000; eight plastic packs suspected shabu weighing eight kilos with a value of P54.4 million; one P1,000 bill buy bust money placed on top of 34 pieces of P1,000 boodle money; and one navy blue pouch.
The two suspects were brought to the SPD DDEU office for documentation. The police will file cases against them for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Section 5 pertains to the “Sale, Trading, Administration, Dispensation, Delivery, Distribution and Transportation of Dangerous Drugs and/or Controlled Precursors and Essential Chemicals” while Section 11 is on “Possession of Dangerous Drugs.”
"May this result of operation deliver a stern warning to those who continue doing illegal drug transactions in our AOR , wala kayong lugar sa Taguig o saan mang parte ng Southern Metro, mahuhuli at mahuhuli namin kayo,” said Macaraeg.
