The number of active COVID-19 cases in Pasig City has dropped to 49, the local government unit (LGU) announced Friday, Nov. 26.
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto urged the public not to be complacent despite the declining number of COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila. He also reminded his constituents to get themselves inoculated against the dreaded virus.
According to the LGU, 57,815 patients have already recovered while 1,462 died from the disease in the city.
Pasig City has already deployed 944,646 vaccines as of Nov. 25. A total of 512,940 residents have received their first dose and 427,299 have been fully vaccinated.
On Nov. 25, the Department of Health (DOH) reported 975 new COVID-19 cases, 1,029 additional recoveries, and 193 new deaths in the country.
The Philippines has 17,796 active cases out of 2.82 million confirmed cases, 2.76 million recoveries and 47,875 deaths since last year.
