Mayor Emi gives financial assistance to kin of tricycle drivers

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano gave financial assistance to the relatives of four members of the tricycle operators and drivers association (TODA) who died due to several causes on Tuesday, Nov. 23.

Rubiano personally handed over P17,000 in cash to the relatives of Armando Boco, a member of Padre Burgos Libertad TODA; Rodolfo Geronimo, from Ventanilla Aurora Cementina TODA; Danilo Espago from Standford Hidalgo TODA and Rolando Zapantaof Dimasalang-TODA (DIMATODASS).

She said the financial assistance given to the four tricycle drivers is part of the project of the Tricycle and Pedicab and Franchising Regulatory Office headed by Ace Sevilla called “Tulong Damayan sa Aktibong Kasapi ng Magtatraysikel sa Lungsod ng Pasay.”

The mayor thanked the family of the four tricycle drivers and said they were a big help to the city government especially during the surge in COVID-19 cases.

Rubiano said the city government hired the services of tricycle drivers in distributing food packs to residents during the pandemic.

Sevilla said there are about 88 TODA association in Pasay City actively helping the city government in the delivery of food packs to residents during the pandemic.
