FAMOUS: Gerald Anderson on 'Hello, Heart' leading lady Gigi De Lana

In one of the first collabs between media giants ABS-CBN and global streaming service iQiyi, Gerald Anderson reveals he is excited to work with newbie Gigi De Lana for the new series “Hello, Heart.”

“First, I was excited kasi yung character ko bilang si Saul is a character that I’ve always wanted to play. He’s a business tycoon and it’s a dynamic character and nung sinabi nila na si Gigi yung makakasama ko siyempre ni-research ko agad sa YouTube yung videos niya na kumakanta,” Gerald said.

Gerald added that they felt instantly comfortable with each other as co actors.

“I think at the end of the day, yung production na nakasama namin is from ABS-CBN and kasama ko din sila sa past shows so I was very comfortable. Parehas kami ni Gigi. Kumbaga parang kaming pamilya na nandun. I think the difference now is yung platform which is in 191 countries,” he added

Being teamed up with a new leading lady, the actor said he never forces the chemistry onscreen so that it would look more natural.

“You can’t eh. Hindi mo talaga ma-ki-create yan. Lalo na sa sitwasyon ni Gigi dahil it’s her first time to act. All you can do bilang partner niya is to make her as comfortable as possible. Siyempre we’re in a very high pressure, sensitive, and vulnerable environment. Kailangan lang comfortable siya and then let the rest happen,” he explained.

The original Filipino series "Hello, Heart" will be available on iQiyi starting Dec. 15, Wednesday. For more amazing Asian content, users can log in for free or sign up for a subscription at the iQiyi app and www.iQ.com.

Newly crowned Binibining Pilipinas queens Maureen Montagne and Cindy Obeñita returned home wearing their crowns as 2021 The Miss Globe and 2021 Miss Intercontinental, respectively.

Cindy edged out over 70 candidates for the title of Miss Intercontinental last Oct. 30, winning the second crown for the Philippines.

“I’m still so overwhelmed until now. I’m so happy. This feels surreal, because we had our send-off together, Maureen and I. And now we’re doing our homecoming together — with the crowns! I’m very happy.”

Meanwhile, Maureen is the second Filipino to win the Miss Globe crown in Albania last Nov. 6

“It feels so good to be home. I feel so grateful, As you all know, our Binibini journey was so long. It was one year and seven months, almost two years of hard work, wishing, waiting, praying. I’m so glad that our dreams came true. I’m so proud and happy to bring home our second Miss Globe crown,” she said

Cindy sees this as an opportunity to advance her advocacy.

“I know that with a crown, there’s influence. And it is a responsibility, I know my purpose, and I want to make use of this title to connect more with agencies, national directors, health committees to work on cervical cancer awareness and prevention. I really want to bring it to the international consciousness.”

Maureen is scheduled to travel to the Dominican Republic, Greece, Albania, and Canada “to help crown the new batch of Miss Globe candidates."

“I had no idea how much Miss Globe does, and I’m really excited to share that with everyone as well,” she added. “I think it’s a pageant that needs a little more love, a little more attention, because they really are doing good things.”
