What's the best thing that Robredo heard during her Bulacan visit?

Presidential aspirant Vice President Leni Robredo wants to keep coming back to Bulacan because it was there where she heard the best compliment from one of her supporters: “Ay, hindi ka pala mataba (Oh, you are not fat in person).”

“Sa aking pag-iikot, iyon ang pinakamasaya sa aking pakiramdam (In all of my visits, that’s the happiest compliment),” Robredo told an audience during the People’s Council Event at the Barasoain Church Convent on Wednesday, Nov. 24.

Present during the event were her vice presidential running mate, Sen. Kiko Pangilinan and senatorial aspirants labor leader Sonny Matula, human rights lawyer Chel Diokno, and book author Alex Lacson.

Robredo said the words were the “sweetest” she heard from the stationary caravan that started from Pulilan to Malolos City, Bulacan.

“Kaya sabi ko babalik-balik ako dito sa Bulacan. Sabi ko sa staff ko na-record nyo ba iyon (That’s why I said I will return here in Bulacan. I asked my staff, did you record that)?,” she shared.

A video clip of her remark was posted on Twitter with some replying that the Vice President was “charming” and “real” in her speech, wherein she talked about wanting to establish a countrywide People’s Council.

Robredo has gained weight since she assumed office in 2016.

She has been visiting cities and provinces in the past month since she declared her presidential bid. While visiting the Office of the Vice President’s programs, she also takes time to meet with her supporters and volunteers who call themselves “kakampinks.”

For her visit on Wednesday, Nov. 24, the Malolos City Hall turned pink.

She was in Malolos City to check on her initiative, the Vaccine Express. The People’s Council Event was the last event she attended in the city before she spoke before her Bulacan supporters in front of the city hall.
