Robredo prefers to undergo 'random, unannounced', not 'self-serving' drug test
Amid President Duterte’s blind item that a presidential candidate is using cocaine, Vice President Leni Robredo on Wednesday, Nov. 24, said she is willing to undergo a “random” and “unannounced” drug test anytime.

Robredo said this on the sidelines of her trip to Bulacan, which she visited for her Vaccine Express initiative and meeting with her supporters and volunteers.
“Ako, anytime naman...Dapat sana iyong pagpapa-drug test (Me, anytime...The drug test should be) random—unannounced,” she
stressed, referring to submitting herself to a drug test to prove that she isn’t the person the President is alluding to.
The aspiring president reiterated, however, that the drug test should be “random, unannounced” so there will be no question to the result of the drug test.

“Unannounced kasi alam naman natin na mas maigi na random, mas maigi na unannounced para nakukuha mo kung ano talaga iyong tunay na sitwasyon (because it would be better if it’s random, unannounced, so you’ll get the real situation),” she said.
Robredo also described as “self-serving” the submission of one’s self for a scheduled drug test.
Senator Panfilo Lacson and Senate President Vicento “Tito” Sotto III, who are running for president and vice president, respectively, had themselves tested last week.
Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso also asked the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) to test him for substance abuse while former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. underwent a test at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig City.

Senator Manny Pacquiao submitted a recent negative drug test result conducted by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association.
The Vice President said she’s open to submitting herself to a drug test in either a public or private institution.
“Ako, kahit saan naman na titiwalaan ng publiko okay naman iyon. Kasi (For me, anywhere that the public trust is okay. Because) it doesn’t matter naman kung public or private basta may tiwala tayo doon sa legitimacy at saka sa accuracy ng test (if public or private, as long as we trust the legitimacy and accuracy of the test),” she added.
Last week, the President revealed that there is a presidential candidate who has been using cocaine. He said the candidate is famous only for his name and has not proven anything as a leader.
He reiterated this information earlier this week, saying that it is hard to catch the rich people who are using drugs because they do it in yachts and airplanes.
