Booster shots are now available for residents in Bataan through the efforts of the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) and its "Bakuna" Center, the organization said on Wednesday, Nov. 24.
In a statement, PRC said that its Bakuna Center in Bataan provided booster doses to 22 individuals belonging to COVID-19 priority groups A1 to A3.
" As the country's premier humanitarian organization, the PRC is fully involved in going the extra mile to help our fellow countrymen. We will perpetually be on the lookout to find ways to be always first, always ready, always there,” PRC Chairman and CEO Senator Dick Gordon said.
As of November 22, 2021, the PRC said that it has administered more than 550,000 doses while fully vaccinating more than 239,000 individuals in their 25 Bakuna Buses and 17 Bakuna Centers.
Currently, PRC said that it is just waiting for the green light from the Department of Health (DOH) to begin administering booster shots to COVID-19 priority groups to the rest of the PRC Bakuna Centers.
