The Pasay City government will celebrate its 158th founding anniversary on Dec. 2 with the theme of “PASAYahin 2021”.

Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the city government prepared various activities which started on Nov. 22 including distributing essential medicines in the city’s 201 barangays called Essential Medicines Initiative (EMI).

Rubiano said for residents and visitors to enjoy the Christmas season, the city government prepared Mercato by the Bay/Holiday Night Market at Mall of Asia from Dec. 1.

She said the city government prepared a sustainable tire design contest for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ).

The mayor said the LGBT sustainable tire design contest will showcase the LGBTQ community’s creativity in converting old tires into plant boxes, hanging plants, playground, and garden decoration.

Rubiano said contestants must be residents of Pasay City. The winners will receive P10,000 for the grand winner, P7,500 for the second place, and P5,000 for the third place.

She also said the other activities prepared by the city government are the Bikecinnation 2021, Pasay Mall Wide Sale with SME; Pasay Citywide Battle for online mobile legend tournament; Passport on Wheels; Puhunang Kaalaman sa Panahon ng Pagbangon; Pasay Day Dagdag Puhunan, Pamilyang Paskuhan and others.

The mayor said the city government will also conduct “Maliwanag na Bukas,” a Christmas street lighting on Dec. 1 in preparation for the Pasay City Day motorcade on Dec. 2 at the city’s main streets.
