DAVAO CITY — The city government has already rolled out the anti-COVID booster dose for the medical healthcare workers here, a health official announced.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Nov. 23, Davao City COVID-19 Task Force Spokesperson Dr. Michelle Schlosser said that the booster dose vaccination drive in the city commenced at the Southern Philippine Medical Center (SPMC) last Wednesday, November 17.
Schlosser said private tertiary hospitals were also given a go signal to roll out their booster dose vaccination.
"But they will have to arrange for the human resources and logistics to do the vaccination but we will provide the vaccines," she said.
Schlosser assured that the city has enough vaccines for the healthcare workers here.
“Our medical frontliners sa city are also doing the vaccination rollout for the people. Dapat naa kita’y maayo nga plano nga dili ma-hamper, dili ma-stop ang vaccination rollout sa public while having the vaccination for booster dose (Our medical frontliners in the city are also doing the vaccination. We have to plan well so that the vaccination rollout for the public will not be hampered or stopped while having the vaccination for booster dose),” she said.
The Davao City Vaccination Cluster said as of Nov. 17, a total of 57, 520 healthcare workers have been fully vaccinated while 62,221 have received their first dose.
