Mayor Isko to undergo drug testing at PDEA

Presidential aspirant and Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" on Wednesday, Nov. 24, said he already wrote a request to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) to conduct a drug test on him.

"Sumulat na ako sa sa PDEA, testing sa cocaine, shabu, marijuana.... We are willing. Kung 'yun ang kinakailangan para mapanatag ang tao (I have already written to PDEA, testing for cocaine, shabu, marijuana .... We are willing. If that is what is needed to assure the people)," Domagoso said in an interview with DZMM Teleradyo.

"Tama naman yung mga tao, pag ikaw ay president at ikaw ay drug-user (the public is right, if your are a president and a drug-user), how can you fight against drugs?" he added.

President Duterte had earlier revealed that one of the presidential aspirants has used cocaine.

“I have never been into drugs, maski solvent o ano pa. I have nothing to hide,” the Manila mayor said.

In a letter addressed to PDEA Director General Wilkins Villanueva, Domagoso requested for an immediate drug test.

“In the interest of public service of the highest order, may I please submit myself for immediate drug testing for cocaine, shabu, marijuana, or all other illegal substances,” Domagoso said.

“I shall make myself personally available in your office the soonest possible,” he added.

Senator Panfilo M. Lacson and former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. had already underwent voluntary drug testing to prove that they are drug free.
