Mayor Isko on his past sexy roles: 'Hindi ko ikinahiya'

Presidential aspirant and Manila mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso on Wednesday, Nov. 24, said he is not ashamed of his past and for portraying sexy roles when he was just starting out in the movie industry.

'Yun naman ay hindi ko ikinubli, hindi ko ikinahiya magpasa hanggang ngayon kahit sa mga anak ko (I did not hide that, I am not ashamed of it until now, even to my children)" said Domagoso, who appeared in sexy movies before entering politics, in an interview with DZMM.

"Ang sinasabi ko, ang pagaartista ay isang disenteng propesyon at ito ay bumuhay sa atin for quite some time. 'Yan ang nagpaangat sa katayuan ko sa buhay (What I’m saying is acting is a decent profession and I earned a living from it for quite some time. That raised my status in life)," he added.

While he is not ashamed of his former profession, he said there are still times that he gets hurt when others criticize or mock him for it.

"Minsan, kapag tinutuya-tuya ka, as a human being, hindi naman ako robot. parang may kurot yan ng konti (Sometimes, when you are ridiculed, as a human being, and I am not a robot, there's a pinch and it still hurts ) At the end of the day, I have to face the music," he said.

"Talagang ganoon. May mga tao na kapag walang nakitang panget sa iyong pamamahala, sa pag-gogobyerno, maghahanap na lang yan ng ibang bagay, kahit na personal na, doon nalang sila titira (It's really like that, there are people who, when they don't see anything bad in your governance, they just look for something else, even if it's personal, that's where they hit you)," he said.

Despite his past, the Manila mayor said he knows that he did his best to serve the people.

"Pinagbuti ko naman ang trabaho ko for the past 20 years and last two years as being mayor of Manila, modesty aside, in my own little way. Hindi ko nga alam anong tinitignan nila sa brief ko eh (I know I did my best as a public servant in the past 20 years and as mayor of Manila for the past two years.I don't even know what they are looking for in my underwear)," he joked.

In early August, Domagoso’s sexy photos resurfaced on social media after President Duterte threw shade at the mayor for having lewd photos of him wearing skimpy underwear on the internet.
