Novaliches Bishop Emeritus Teodoro C. Bacani Jr. has reminded voters in the coming elections to choose a leader “who constantly seeks the Lord’s guidance in his decisions.”
A good leader, the Church leader stressed, is someone who is prayerful, who listens and follows the teachings of the faith as exemplified by the way he lives and the way he governs.
“If you are prayerful, it will show in the way you deal with others, that is, you are compassionate and just because our God is compassionate and just,” Bacani said over Radio Veritas.
“The good qualities of a leader who is truly prayerful manifest in the way he deals with others and in his decisions that focus on the common good,” he added.
Bacani recently took part in a discussion over Radio Veritas for its One Godly Vote election campaign that aims to guide voters in choosing the right leaders in the coming local and national elections.
Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula had urged the voting public to use their conscience in their choice of candidates.
