The Department of Health (DOH) has recorded 1,153 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases on Tuesday, Nov. 23.

The update on the newly-reported COVID-19 cases brings the country's tally since the onset of the pandemic to 2,827,820.
Active infections stood at 18,721 which accounts for 0.7 percent of the of the overall case count.
This is lower compared to the 19,798 active cases recorded by the DOH on Nov. 22, Monday.
Of the active cases recorded, 55.2 percent were mild, 20.51 percent were moderate, 13.8 were severe, 5.8 percent were critical while 4.7 were asymptomatic.
DOH said that 2,182 have recovered while 195 additional fatalities were recorded. This brings the recovery count to 2,761,617 and death toll to 47,482.
Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire has mentioned that vaccination will be the key in continually reducing COVID-19 deaths in the country.
