Globe widens GoWiFi reach

Globe Telecom Inc. has expanded its free GoWiFi service to over 3,700 locations nationwide to serve the surging demand for stable internet in public areas.

“We are happy to be at the forefront of digitalization in the country through WiFi solutions catering to everyone’s online needs,” announced Janis Nathalie Racpan, Globe Business Development and Marketing Director.

The GoWiFi expansion covers local government units, supermarkets, hospitals, schools, and airports.

The service is now available in the city halls of Quezon, Mandaluyong, Bacoor, Puerto Galera, Davao and Antipolo.

It is likewise available in select Robinsons Supermarkets, Puregold and Shopwise branches.

In hospitals, GoWifi is in Kidapawan Doctors Hospital Inc., Quezon City General Hospital, Rizal Provincial Hospital Annex I-IV, Saint Vincent General Hospital - Cebu, Cebu North General Hospital and Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.

Furthermore, GoWiFi is currently available in select branches of major shopping malls like Ayala Malls, Megaworld Malls, SM Supermalls, Robinsons Malls; in coffee shops like Starbucks; in transport terminals such as Metro Rail Transit (MRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT); and in airports namely the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (Clark International Airport), Puerto Princesa International Airport (New Terminal), and more.

To connect to GoWiFi, users have to open the WiFi Settings of their WiFi-enabled device, connect to “@FreeGoWiFi” or “@_FreeGoWiFi.”

Afterwards, they register their mobile number, wait for the SMS verification, select a WiFi offer and confirm to start surfing.
