Pasay City receives 500 Moderna vaccines

Deputy House Speaker Loren Legarda donated 500 Moderna vaccines to the city government during its regular flag raising ceremony on Monday, Nov. 22.

Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano thanked Legarda for the donation, saying it is a big help in the city's fight against COVID-19.

Rubiano told City Hall officials to double their effort in helping the city government sustain its fight against COVID-19.

On Saturday (Nov. 20), the city government recorded zero COVID-19 cases for the first time since the pandemic started.

But on Sunday, Nov. 21, the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) reported two new additional cases.

Rubiano appealed to residents for their full cooperation and urged them to strictly follow local health guidelines such as the EMI Habit (ensure to always wash your hands, mask is a mus,t and implement physical distancing).

The mayor also encouraged residents to get vaccinated against the virus to help pave the way for the city's return to normalcy.
