Manila breaks ground for Yuchengco park

The Manila city government broke ground for the construction of the Plaza Yuchengco Park along Muelle Del Banco Nacional street in Ermita, Manila on Monday, Nov. 22.

The ceremony was led by Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso.

The Yuchengco group of companies donated the vast area where Plaza Yuchengco will be built to the Manila city government as a way to promote Manila’s beautification program.

The plaza spans four streets, namely Yuchengco, Soda, Tomas Pinpin, and Burke.

It will showcase an array of trees endemic to the Philippines and will also have a pedestrian park area.
