Bong Go says he’s willing to undergo drug test anytime

Presidential aspirant Senator Christopher “Bong” Go on Monday said he is willing to undergo a drug test after President Duterte claimed a presidential candidate is using cocaine.

“Ako naman po willing magpa-drug test (I am willing to under drug test) anytime of the day. Anytime po kung kakailangan (when it is needed),” Go said in an ambush interview from General Santos City.

“Though hindi (not) mandatory, pero just to prove lang po sa Pilipino kung sino yung fit na mamuno sa ating bansa, ay willing po akong magpa-drug test (to the Filipinos who is fit to lead the country, I am willing to under drug test) anytime of the day,” the administration candidate said.

Go made the remark after Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senate President Vicente Sotto III went to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) to undergo voluntary drug testing.

Lacson and Sotto are running in tandem in the upcoming May 2022 elections as presidential and vice presidential aspirants.

Duterte earlier claimed that a leading presidential candidate is doing cocaine. He did not name the presidential aspirant but described him as popular and a scion of a rich family but really a “weak leader.”
