He was just trying to be funny.
This is how Albie Casiño explained his now viral statement against former girlfriend Andi Eigenmann prior to joining this year's edition of "Pinoy Big Brother."
Note that in the interview he described Andi as "super fat."
He also maintained she didn't say sorry to him, ever.
Albie has since realized his mistake.
He told Monster RX93.1: "I made those comments cause I was trying to be funny, I was trying to be 'no filter' at the same time I said something that hurt someone... but it got blown way out of proportion and I guess I affected a lot more people than I thought that I would."
He added, "I didn't mean any harm to that, of course, (but) I'm not washing my hands..."
"Like I said, I want to get better everyday, I learn everyday, and I want to learn from my mistakes and I realize now I shouldn't have said that. I guess I was just hurting too. Honestly, there was a lot of pent up pain, anger, but again, I shouldn't have said anything."
"To everybody who was hurt by my statement, I truly am sorry."
