2 teens involved in QC carnapping nabbed in Caloocan


Two 17-year-old boys allegedly involved in a carnapping incident in Quezon City were arrested in a police operation in Caloocan City on Saturday, Nov. 20.

According to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), the minors were members of the "Kulot Robbery and Carnapping Group" involved in carjacking incidents in Caloocan, Quezon City, Pasay City, and Marikina City.

Operatives from QCPD Holy Spirit Station 14 (PS 14) nabbed the suspects in Camarin, Caloocan at about 5:00 p.m. on complaint of a victim who claimed that his Toyota utility van parked on Republic Ave. in Brgy. Holy Spirit, Quezon City was stolen on Friday evening.

Authorities recovered from the suspects the stolen van, a .38-caliber revolver with four live ammunition, and false keys.

The minors also disclosed the location of three motorcycles and a jeepney that were recently stolen by the group.

Cases for violation of Republic Act 10883 or the New Anti-Carnapping Law and Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act will be filed against the suspects, the police said.
