The shear line, also known as the tail-end of frontal system, may bring cloudy and rainy weather over parts of southern and Central Luzon and Cagayan Valley, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Sunday morning, Nov. 21.
Scattered rains and thunderstorms may affect Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon, Aurora, Isabela, and Cagayan in the next 24 hours.
PAGASA advised those affected by the shear line to stay vigilant against potential flooding or landslides in the event of heavy rainfall.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon, locally called "amihan," may bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Bulacan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bataan, Zambales, and Nueva Ecija.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA also warned that severe thunderstorm activities could sometimes trigger flash floods or landslides.
It said that no gale warning is in effect over the country's seaboards as of Sunday morning.
Moderate to rough seas may prevail over northern and central Luzon, while slight to moderate seas will likely persist over the rest of the country.
As such, sea travel is safe even for fisherfolk and others with small sea vessels, PAGASA said.
Weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin said PAGASA has not monitored a low pressure area that may affect the country in the next three days.
