Read for change!: DOST to launch Science for the People book series
The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) is expected to unveil its Science for the People (SFTP) Book series that features how science, technology, and innovation benefit the Filipino people.

The five SFTP books featuring research and development breakthroughs will be launched online on Tuesday, Nov. 23. It will be streamed live through the Facebook page of Science for Change Program (S4CP)
"This book tells interesting stories about R&D discoveries and their role in forming meaningful collaborations between government, academe, and industry,” read the S4CP’s Facebook post.
It described the SFTP Book series as “a legacy project aimed at bringing science closer to the people.”
“The books will feature how science, technology, and innovation made a difference in different sectors.”
Authors of the book series include DOST Secretary Fortunato T. dela Peña, Undersecretary Dr. Rowena Cristina L. Guevara, DOST Assistant Secretary Leah J. Buendia, DOST-Science Education Institute (SEI) Director Josette Biyo and Regional VIII Director Ernesto M. Granada, and the late Undersecretary Brenda Nazareth-Manzano.
Robina Gokongwei-Pe, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of the Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc; and Maret Follosco-Bautista, president of CL Follosco Group of Companie, are also included in the list of authors.
