Gabriela Women's Party calls out 'PBB' celebrity housemate over alleged harassment with co-player

Gabriela Women's Party has reacted to the trending issue involving this year's "Pinoy Big Brother" celebrity edition.

On their social media account, the party-list representing Filipino women in the House of Representatives assured their followers how they had taken note of several photos and videos related to the "FORCE EVICT TJ" Twitter trend.

Note that the said phrase has dominated the Twitter world with more than 40K tweets, as of writing, along with the phrase: "Protect Shanaia Gomez."

Apparently, netizens want comedian TJ Valderrama to be "force evicted" from "PBB" House for allegedly taking advantage of the 19-year-old singer, Shanaia Gomez.

Here's Gabriela's statement:

"A reminder that unsolicited touching and physical contact, even in the context of friendship or even relationship, can be a form of sexual harassment. Maaring hindi agad napapansin subalit karaniwang hindi komportable ang biktima sa ganitong mga sitwasyon, at maari pang magdulot ng trauma.

"Nawa'y maging positibong venue ang PBB para matalakay ang mahalagang usapin na ito hinggil sa Safe Spaces, lalo't bahagi ito ng paggunita natin sa darating na International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (IDEVAW) sa Nobyembre 25."
