Paranaque City COVID-19 cases down to 99

The total number of new COVID-19 cases in Paranaque City is now down to 99 based on the City Health Office record, Mayor Edwin Olivarez announced Saturday.

Olivarez said three of the 16 barangays in the city -- Don Galo, La Huerta, and Vitales -- have already been declared free of the virus.

However, three barangays still remain with the highest number of COVID-19 cases, namely Barangay San Isidro with 24; BF Homes with 19; and Merville with 11.

The mayor told the residents to get vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to sustain the city’s downward trend of COVID-19 cases and be able to enjoy the coming Christmas season.

Olivarez also asked the residents to follow the basic health protocols and just stay home if they have nothing important to do outside their residences.

He also encouraged the parents to register their children aged 12 to 17 for the city’s “Bakuna Para sa YO” general pediatric vaccination program.
