Scattered rains likely over VisMin due to tail-end of frontal system

The shearline or tail-end of frontal system continues to affect the Visayas and northern Mindanao, while the northeast monsoon or "amihan" prevails over Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Tuesday morning, Nov. 2.
In the next 24 hours, cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may prevail over Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Central and Eastern Visayas, and the provinces of Davao del Norte, Davao Oriental, and Davao de Oro.
Western Visayas and the rest of Mindanao may have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have generally fair weather conditions with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and isolated light rains.
Slightly lower daytime temperatures are also possible in some Luzon areas due to the prevalence of amihan.
Senior weather specialist Chris Perez said PAGASA has not monitored a tropical cyclone that may affect the country in the next two to three days.
PAGASA estimated that two or three tropical cyclones may enter or affect the country in November.
