Lolit Solis, Cristy Fermin react to McCoy de Leon-Elisse Joson's parenthood announcement

Veteran showbiz scribes Lolit Solis and Cristy Fermin weighed in on the recent announcement of McCoy de Leon and Elisse Joson that they are now parents.

Lolit, who was being bashed for not being able to break the news, wrote on Instagram: "Natawa ako sa mga comments sa IG ko, Salve. Bakit daw wala akong balita tungkol sa pagbubuntis ni Elisse Joson, ang hina daw ng radar ko, dahil nagka anak ng baby girl pero hindi ko nalaman. Kalokah di bah? Pag ibinalita mo, sasabihin pakialamera at tsismosa ka. Pag hindi mo sinulat, mahina kang klase ng reporter."

Not that she minds. Lolit maintained she welcomes all criticisms as long as these are respectful.

"Meron magalang at constructive na talagang grateful ako dahil dagdag knowledge din sa iyo na mabasa ang comment nila," she said. "Tutoo nga na don’t waste your time sa mga mahina ang comprehension dahil wala kang matututuhan, duon ka lang makipag usap sa mataas ang mental level para dagdag talino pa."

She would go on to congratulate McCoy and Elisse.

"Kinuha nilang ninong ng baby girl nika si Direk Lauren Dyogi dahil gusto nila manahin ng baby ang wisdom ni Direk Lauren Dyogi. Bongga. Iyan dapat ang pipili ng ninong at ninang, iyon may manahin maganda iyon baby nyo. Congrats again," she wrote.

Meanwhile, Cristy lauded the celebrity sweethearts for being able to keep everything private.

"Ganun sila kagaling humawak ng relasyon. There was a time na naghiwalay din sila. Nagkaroon din ng poblema itong mag-partner na ito pero wala tayong alam. Hindi nila ibinahagi sa publiko, niresolbahan nila ang problema na silang dalawa lang," she said during a "Cristy Per Minute" episode. "Tingnan mo, ang ganda-ganda ng kanilang pasabog na ito. Meron na silang baby girl at ito ay sila mismo ang nagbunyag nito dahil kinukuha nilang maging ninong ng kanilang anak si Direk Lauren Dyogi, di ba? Sa 'PBB.'"

"Nakakatuwa, ano? Si McCoy, ang bait ng batang ito. Walang ka-ere-ere, walang kahit anong angas. Lahat ng mga nakakasama niya sa taping at shooting, pinupuri siya. At si Elisse din naman ay isang babaeng mapagpahalaga sa kanilang kapribaduhan, di ba?"
