Albie Casiño details how his ADHD diagnosis has affected his life

“Pinoy Big Brother” housemate Albie Casiño has opened up about his attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) diagnosis.
During the recent episode of the reality show, Albie discussed his exercise routine to calm his mind.
“If I don’t work out, I get stressed. You can’t talk to me straight,” Albie candidly shared to his fellow celebrity housemate Shanaia Gomez.
In the confession room, the actor shared to Kuya why it took him so long to finish his routine.
“Matagal po ako mag-exercise talaga, kasi ‘yan po ‘yung oras ko para ma-calm ‘yung mind ko. Wala akong ibang iniisip kundi ‘yung workout,” he said.
“Dahil po sa condition ko — meron po kasi akong ADHD — ‘yung utak ko, ang dami niyang iniisip palagi. Pag nakakapag-exercise ako, I’m in the moment na, ‘Walang ibang importante ngayon, except itong workout na ‘to.’”
Albie reiterated that when he's able to do things like that, it reassures him how strong he is.
The Mayo Clinic explained that ADHD is a chronic condition that affects millions of children and often continues into adulthood. ADHD includes a combination of persistent problems, such as difficulty sustaining attention, hyperactivity and impulsive behavior.
Children with ADHD may also struggle with low self-esteem, troubled relationships and poor performance in school. Symptoms sometimes lessen with age. However, some people never completely outgrow their ADHD symptoms. But they can learn strategies to be successful.
On the other hand, for the past few days, Albie made headlines following his controversial statement about his former girlfriend Andi Eigenmann.
Since then, many have dipped their fingers including Andi's mother Jaclyn Jose, as well as, the actress' half-sister, Stevie.
