Acting presidential spokesman Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles said November 29, 2021, and December 1, 2021, will be declared as special working days in support of the upcoming National Vaccination Days in the Philippines.
Nograles made the statement as the country is set to observe the three-day event called "Bayanihan, Bakunahan" or simultaneous vaccination drive against the coronavirus (COVID-19) from November 29 to December 1.
November 30 or Bonifacio Day is already a regular holiday.
"Ang alam ko magiging Special Working Holidays po siya (From what I know, they will be declared as Special Working Holidays). Special Working Day," he said in his press briefing on November 19.
In addition, Nograles, who co-chairs the Inter-agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, said the body fully supports the three-day event as part of the whole-of-nation and whole-of-society approach to COVID-19 vaccination.
He said all member agencies are directed to extend full support for this simultaneous vaccination rollout.
All government offices, agencies, and instrumentalities, and local government units are also encouraged to assign and/or allow all of their respective healthcare workers to participate in this event.
