Mayor Malapitan breaks ground for Caloocan's Barangay Health Center

Caloocan City Mayor Oscar "Oca" Malapitan led the groundbreaking of a 3-storey Barangay Health Center with Lying in and Daycare Center on Friday, Nov. 19.

The 3-storey building is located in Phase 4, Package 4, Barangay 176.

"Nais natin na magkaroon ng mas maayos na government health facilities para sa ating mga mamamayan higit na ngayong nasa gitna pa tayo ng pandemya. Kung ano ang mas kailangan ng mga tao, iyon ang ating inuuna," Malapitan said. (It is our aim to provide well-equipped health facilities for our citizens, especially now that we are in the middle of a pandemic. What our people need, that is what we will prioritize.)

Malapitan also said that he is prioritizing the improvement of health care centers in the city in his last year as mayor.

Councilor Enteng Malapitan, City Administrator Engr. Oliver Hernandez, City Health Officer Dr. Evelyn Cuevas, and other local government officials were also present during the groundbreaking ceremony.

On Nov.12, the city government also held the inauguration for the Phase 2 expansion of Amparo Nature's Park in Brgy. 179.
