Did Herbert Bautista refer to Kris Aquino as 'the one that got away?'

Senatorial aspirant and former Quezon City mayor Herbert Bautista is nursing a broken heart.

This, based on his recent Twitter post as addressed to Senator Ping Lacson.

It read: "Mr. President Ping @iampinglacson, na-inspire din tuloy akong mag-propose. Kaso, sayang... may napili na po sya. (broken heart emojis)."

He also used the hashtags "#KungMaibabalikKoLang" and "#TOTGA" which is the abbreviation for "the one that got away."

Many believe that Herbert is referring to the publicized engagement of Queen of All Media Kris Aquino and former Secretary of the Interior and Local Government Mel Sarmiento.

Prior, Herbert reacted to Kris' latest milestone, admitting he's not aware of it.

“Masaya ako dahil yung peace and quiet ... yung ang hinahanap niya eh. Happy ako sa kanya,” said he during press conference. “Hindi ko alam na ikakasal na siya pero happy ako sa kanya. Hindi ko naman kasi sinusundan yung social media niya.”

According to previous reports, Kris and Herbert made sweet music in 2014 starting when the actor-turned-politician asked for her phone number.

During their on-and-off relationship, the 53-year-old star proposed marriage to Kris twice, in 2014 and 2017 — which the 50-year-old TV host-turned-vlogger both declined.

Then a few months later, Kris revealed that she finally put an end to her friendship with a special someone who netizens believe was Herbert.
