Kevin Belingon hopes to enter the winning column when he faces Korean opponent Kwon Won Il in ONE: Winter Warriors II on Dec. 17 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Belingon, a former ONE world bantamweight champion, considered this fight as one of the many important bouts of his life since he will put the No. 2 spot on the line.
The Team Lakay stalwart is currently on a three-match skid since losing back-to-back against reigning champion Bibiano Fernandes and now top-ranked contender John Lineker.
"'Yong laban ko this December napakaimportante kasi 'pag nanalo ako mananatili ako sa rank No. 2 (I consider this fight a very imporntant one since I need to maintain my number two ranking)," said Belingon, who holds a 20-8 record. "Kailangan ko depensahan 'yong teritoryo ko dito. Kailangan manalo para nandon pa rin ako sa top contender (I have to defend my territory and I need to win to remain a top contender)."
As of this writing, the bantamweight division's top list is composed of Fernandes, Lineker, Belingon, Yusup Saadulaev, Fabricio Andrade, and Shoko Sato.
Meanwhile, Belingon said he's more than ready for his much-awaited comeback in the Circle since suffering a heartbreaking knockout defeat at the hands of Lineker in November last year.

The Igorot warrior isn't worried about ring rust though despite missing action for more than a year now.
"Okay naman 'yong pahinga natin from last year, nag-recover lang nang kaunti. Sa gym pa rin ang tambayan natin, 'di tayo nangalawang sa training (I had a good rest after my loss. We recovered already and I know there would be no ring rust since I always go to the gym)," he said. "So ayun, okay pa rin 'yong condition natin. Para sa laban na 'to, hundred percent ready na ako (My conditioning is also okay. I'm one hundred percent ready for this match)."
Kwon, for his part, rides on a two-match win streak with the latest coming against Chen Rui last January to improve at 10-3 record.
