Tulfo faces COC cancellation bid

A petition seeking to cancel the certificate of candidacy (COC) of senatorial aspirant Raffy Tulfo is currently pending before the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

In an online press briefing on Thursday, Nov. 18, Comelec Spokesperson James Jimenez said the petition was filed by a certain Julieta Pearson.

He said the petition was filed last Oct. 25.

The Comelec did not provide a copy of the petition.

Tulfo filed his COC for the May 2022 polls last Oct. 2 as an independent candidate.
