Makati LGU launches COVID-19 booster shots for medical workers

The Makati City local government reminded its medical frontliners on Thursday to get their booster shots against COVID-19 in two vaccination sites.

Medical frontliners may proceed to Palanan Elementary School (with 400 slots per day) and Ayala Malls Circuit (with 600 slots per day) for their third dose of the vaccine.

"Magdala lamang ng valid ID at vaccination card bilang katunayang tumanggap kayo ng inyong bakuna mula sa Makati (Just bring a valid ID and vaccination card proving that you've already been vaccinated in Makati)," the LGU said on its Facebook post.

"Pinapaalalahanan ang lahat na tanging mga health worker lamang na nabakunahan na ng kumpletong dose sa nakalipas na anim na buwan o higit pa ang maaaring tumanggap ng booster shot (We are reminding everyone that only health workers who were fully vaccinated in the past six months or more are eligible to receive the booster shots)," it added.

Fully vaccinated health care workers may get their third dose or booster shot of the Covid-19 vaccine starting Nov. 17, the Department of Health (DOH) said.

In a public advisory released Monday night, the DOH recommended Moderna, Pfizer, and Sinovac as booster doses regardless of the brand used in the primary series.
