It’s like having a piece of Paris in the country
In 1969, Parisian style was present in Manila when French fashion designer Pierre Balmain came to show his collections at the Hotel Intercontinental, with then First Lady Imelda Marcos to witness his works. This time, you too can marvel at Balmain’s special pieces as it opens its first boutique in the Philippines.
If you’re following the likes of fashion influencer and actress Heart Evangelista and stylist Daryl Chang, you would know that it is located at the Solaire Resort and Casino in Parañaque City. “Solaire continues to blaze the trail as we add another world-renowned icon to our roster of exclusives, and introduce the Philippines to the first and only boutique in the country of French fashion tour de force, Balmain,” the luxury destination says. “Experience unparalleled, pioneering luxury retail at The Shoppes at Solaire.”
Embodying everything that is Paris chic, the 105-square-meter store mirrors creative director Olivier Rousteing’s vision of timeless elegance and beauty, transporting a piece of the City of Light to the country. The concept store is a sight of refined taste with its high ceilings, cream walls, warm wood panels, plush upholstery, and marble fixtures, with brass elements hyping up its opulent aesthetic.
Serving as its flagship store in the country, the boutique houses Balmain’s fall-winter 2021 collection. Dubbed “Balmain Above and Beyond,” the line for men and women pays homage to the legacy of its founder, French couturier Pierre Balmain, and his first show 75 years ago in the United States. From gilded dress and military-inspired ensembles to oversized coats and tin foil-like garments, the collection will surely delight any Balmain Army.
