Road Warriors sign free agent Kris Rosales

NLEX signed free agent guard Kris Rosales as part of its buildup for the season-ending PBA Governors’ Cup.

The Road Warriors said on their website that they gave a one-year deal to Rosales, who last saw action in the 2020 Philippine Cup bubble for the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.

Rain or Shine didn’t give the 6-foot guard a fresh deal during the offseason.

Rosales averaged 5.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 12 games for the Elasto Painters in that bubble conference.

His signing came a day after NLEX re-acquired center Marion Magat from Blackwater in exchange for sophomores Mike Ayonayon and Will McAloney.

NLEX was eliminated in the quarterfinals by Meralco after placing seventh in the eliminations, but lost Kiefer Ravena before the restart due to his B.League stint in Japan.

Former TNT import KJ McDaniels will reinforce NLEX for the Governors’ Cup which will start once all teams have their foreign players in town.
