All domestic destinations served by AirAsia Philippines no longer require COVID-19 tests for fully vaccinated individuals, the budget carrier announced Nov. 17, 2021.
This comes after Zamboanga City issued EO BC691-2021, Nov. 16, allowing fully vaccinated guests to fly in with only vaccination cards and S-passes as entry requirements.
To date, Puerto Princesa, Caticlan (Boracay), Bohol, Kalibo, Tacloban, Bacolod, Iloilo, General Santos, Cagayan De Oro, Zamboanga and Davao have likewise eased travel requirements for fully vaccinated guests.
Beginning Nov. 16, AirAsia guests are no longer required to wear face shields at the airport, inside the aircraft and all destinations under Alert levels 1, 2 and 3.
"Slowly but surely, we will achieve that sense of normalcy we all have been praying for. Likewise, there is no room for complacency," remarked AirAsia Philippines Spokesperson Steve Dailisan.
"AirAsia will continue to strictly implement established health and safety protocols for the protection of all our guests and staff,” he added.
With the expected pent up demand for air travel, AirAsia will be ramping up its domestic frequency for the month of December.
AirAsia will also resume its international routes beginning 4 December with its 1x weekly to Singapore and 2x weekly to Hong Kong to service Overseas Filipino Workers and business travelers.
