Las Pinas, Pasay drug busts yield shabu; five arrested

Five suspects listed in the police drug watchlist were arrested in separate buy-bust operations conducted by members of the Las Pinas and Pasay City police on Tuesday and confiscated from them P223,040 worth of shabu.

In Las Pinas City, two suspects, identified as Evangelyn Villesa, 50 and Ronnie Velado, 59 were arrested by members of the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) at about 3 p.m. at 342 Quintas St., Barangay CAA, Las Pinas City.

Police said one of the DEU operatives acted as a poseur-buyer that led to the arrest of the suspects and confiscated from them 15 grams of shabu amounting to P102,000.

The suspects were detained at the Las Pinas City police custodial facility while the confiscated drugs were brought to the Southern Police Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis.

In Pasay City, three suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by member of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit and confiscated P121,04 worth of shabu from them.

The suspects were identified as Joshua Casumpang,18 , father and son Teodoro Eusebio, 52, and Don Emiliano Eusebio, 17, all residents of Pasay City.

Casumpang was arrested at about 9:55 p.m. in Block 4, Lot 4, Saint Rita St., Barangay 178, Zone 19, Pasay City and confiscated from him were 3.6 grams of shabu worth P24,480.
