Katarina Rodriguez grateful to Coleen Garcia, Max Collins for this

Beauty queen Katarina Rodriguez recently thanked celebrity friends Coleen Garcia and Max Collins.

On Instagram, the new mom noted how the two actresses have been of great help when she was giving birth to her baby last Aug. 25.

Note that Coleen and Max were among two first-time celeb moms who tried the waterbirth process.

According to Katarina, Coleen actually lent her a birthing pool, sending it from Manila to Davao.

"She also gave me some words of encouragement and after I delivered she shared with me some of her stories," said Katarina.

The model-actress also thanked co-beauty queen Michelle Dee for connecting her to Max, who gave her sound advice relating to the process being just a "mental game."

"Fortunately, I was able to speak with her on the phone the night before, so everything she shared with me was fresh in my mind when my labor started," she related.

Katarina revealed that she gave birth a few days earlier than scheduled.

Robert Joaquin, her son with partner NiÃ±o Barbers, was born at 8.5lbs or 3.8kgs.

She deemed it the "proudest moment" of her life.

"In pageants they always ask, 'what's the essence of a woman?' I remember practicing this question for two years straight due to my pageant career. I was never really convinced of my own answer to this question, until early morning of August 25, 2021," she wrote. "What's the essence of a woman? Her POWER. Power to rule her mind and her body. Power to overcome pain that feels like death but in turn births life. The power to do whatever it is she puts her mind to."
