The Department of Education (DepEd) on Tuesday, Nov. 16, declared the first day of pilot face-to-face classes a “success.”
In a virtual press briefing, Education Secretary Leonor Briones and other DepEd officials from the central and regional levels gave updates on the first day of pilot implementation of face-to-face classes which started on Nov. 15.
“Very successful,” Briones said when asked to give an initial assessment on the first day of pilot in-person classes. She explained that 97 out of 100 public schools which were earlier identified started face-to-face activities as scheduled.
“Sa actual na pag-implement ng pilot, may nakikita tayo - ano pa ang dapat gagawin (When it comes to the actual implementation of the pilot, we are still seeing some things that need to be done),” Briones said.
Despite this, Briones said that the first day of the pilot face-to-face classes was nonetheless a success because “all our planning, calculations, preparations paid off.”
“It's a wonderful day for everyone in pilot schools,” she added.
