The Social Weather Stations (SWS) confirmed on Monday, Nov. 15, the results of a Stratbase-commissioned survey on voting preferences for president, vice president, and senators in the 2022 elections.
The results of the commissioned survey that was conducted from Oct. 20 to 23 with 1,200 registered voters nationwide found 47 percent of Filipinos picked former Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. as their top choice for president in the next elections.
Vice President Leni Robredo came in 2nd with 18 percent, while Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso came in 3rd with 13 percent, and Senator Manny Pacquiao at 4th place with 9 percent.
Sharing the 5th and 6th places were Senator Panfilo "Ping" Lacson and Senator Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa, each with 5 percent of the voter preference.
Meanwhile, 3 percent of the respondents have yet to decide which candidate they will vote for.
Sotto top pick for VP
For vice president, Senator Vicente "Tito" Sotto III was the top choice with 44 percent of the voter preference.
Coming in at 2nd place was Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte with 25 percent.
Sharing the 3rd and 4th places were Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan and physician Willie Ong, each with 13 percent of the voter preference.
BUHAY Partylist Rep. Lito Atienza ranked 5th with 3 percent of the votes.
Meanwhile, 2 percent of the respondents remain undecided.
Tulfo remains top preferred senatorial candidate
Broadcast journalist Raffy Tulfo topped Filipinos' preferred senatorial candidate for the 2022 polls with 60 percent of the voter preference.
He was followed by Sorsogon Gov. Francis Escudero (51 percent, 2nd place) and Taguig-Pateros 1st District Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano (50 percent, 3rd place).
Also in the list of preferred senatorial bets were Antique Rep. Loren Legarda (45 percent, 4th) and Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri (44 percent, 5th).
Former Vice President Jejomar Binay (40 percent) and former Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar (40 percent) shared the 6th to 7th places.
Completing the top 12 were Senator Risa Hontiveros (36 percent, 8th), former Senator Jinggoy Estrada (33 percent, 9th), actor Robin Padilla (29 percent, 10th), broadcaster Noli De Castro (28 percent, 11th), and Senator Joel Villanueva (27 percent, 12th).
Other names in the list include former Senator JV Ejercito (26 percent, 13th-14th), Senator Richard Gordon (26 percent, 13th-14th), Senator Sherwin Gatchalian (25 percent, 15th), former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista (24 percent, 16th), and former Information and Communications Technology Secretary Gregorio Honasan (23 percent, 17th).
