Jensen Gomez drops new single 'BMF' to launch final phase of his EP Trilogy 'Phases: Vol. 3'

'BMF'

Jensen Gomez has gracefully defied all odds and has remarkably flourished in every measure of adversity. After what seemed to be an exercise in self-rediscovery during the early stretch of the pandemic that led to the release of Phases: Vol 1 and producing a genre fluid EP with Phases: Vol 2, singer-songwriter, composer, and producer Jensen Gomez caps off the year with Phases: Vol 3.

Looking back, Jensen says: “This is Volume 3 of my album Phases, and I went back to the music that I liked growing up, but sharing this part of the album’s narrative where I lost myself.”

Opening the last set of his three part EP is a track called “BMF'' that came out at midnight. Featuring Carlo Mesina, Earl of Manila, and Seonna, the funky R&B song enveloped with synths, riffs and vocals will surely transport you back to the days reminiscent of disco music, roller rinks, and bright, colorful neon clothes where everything seems excessive. With Jensen Gomez’s high vocals similar to Justin Timberlake and relating with Carlo Mesina’s experience disguised in a laid-back rap verse combined with Seonna’s transcendent voice, Getting Earl to do the talkbox intro tied the whole song together and produced an outcome of a power funk song that can get you grooving from any day to night.

Jensen recalls that as someone who grew up in the province, the idea of losing yourself in the city’s bright lights is nothing short of enticing. It was not after too long that he made his one day become his day one. “That’s why sounds like driving around the city. Flashing lights. Fun, careless, and drunk,” he shares.

There’s this tangible energy and puzzling fire within the 30-year-old that redirected him back in the game and took hold of his rejuvenated passion for life. With over 13 years of experience and after working in various projects in music, film, and television, Jensen explains “For you to be able to go somewhere you’ve never been before, you must do something you’ve never done before.”

Completing the EP are two more tracks called “Another Day” that is set to release next Friday, Nov. 19 and “Let Me In” which will be out on Nov. 25.

“BMF” from “Phases: Vol. 3” is now available on all digital streaming platforms.
