Eleazar files COC for senator

Former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar formalized his senate bid in the May 2022 polls on Monday, Nov. 15.

Eleazar filed his certificate on candidacy (COC) for senator before the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in Manila together with his wife.

He filed his COC a day after he was sworn in as member of the Partido Para sa Demokratikong Reporma under presidential aspirant and senator Panfilo "Ping" Lacson.

Eleazar replaced Paolo Capino who withdrew his COC last week.

The retired PNP chief filed his COC on the last day of the filing of substitution.
