CAVITE - The provincial government is pre-launching its free public WiFi service called LINKod Kabitenyo, which aims to provide free internet access to students, residents, and visitors.
From Nov. 15 to 22, the service will be available on a trial basis in Bacoor, Imus, and Dasmariñas – the three cities covered in the project's first phase.
To maximize and evenly distribute the service, the free WiFi connection will be available to registered students for four hours per day.
Teachers, frontliners, and other employees will have internet access for eight hours. The general public will have one hour to connect to the public WiFi.
Websites and apps for gaming and streaming or those offering indecent content will not be accessed through LINKod Kabitenyo.
User experience will be evaluated during the pre-launch stage before rolling out the service in other cities and municipalities.
